This adventure is a 40km ride that will take 4 to 7 hours depending on ability & stops along the way.
First head to Activity Central in the Guest Services building at Blue Mountain Resort. Here you'll be given your gondola ticket, Rental bike, plus your self-guided map.
Next, walk just 50 steps over to the Blue Mountain Gondola where the staff will load your bikes on to the racks while you are whisked up Ontario's only open-aired Gondola.
Once at the top of Blue Mountain - stop & marvel at the majestic view over the expanse of water known as Georgian Bay (some call it Canada's 6th great lake it's that big!), then cycle 40km through the scenic Beaver Valley orchards on quiet country roads. Stop for a picnic lunch at Blackbird Pie Co., just steps from the launching point for your gentle 1-hour paddle down the winding Beaver River. Return to the Village via the protected Georgian Trail along the shoreline of Georgian Bay.

The weather didn’t cooperate so we decided to ride further rather than paddling. Allowing us the defer this part to a later date is excellent customer service. Enjoyable day 😀
The bike route there is very hilly and at times you feel like your flying down the hills. The paddle part was super fun and relaxing. The bike route back was flatter and easier than the first part.
